For active diabetics, the Diapanion is an integrated assistive case that increases the convenience while decreasing the stress of daily care which – unlike our competitors – integrates multiple diabetic management devices into one easy-to-use instrument.
Our team is comprised of four cofounders taking on the roles of chief executive officer (CEO), chief operational officer (COO), chief marketing officer (CMO), and chief financial officer (CFO).
James “Jay” Maier is a current mechanical engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh and cofounder and CEO at Diapanion, serving to finalize major executive decisions, enforce managerial and work structure throughout the company, and formally represent the company.
Seth Appel is a current civil engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh and cofounder and COO at Diapanion, serving to advise and formally assist the CEO with all executive decisions and oversee all major technical operations concerning the research, with a particular focus on R&D operations as well as the logistics and legal operations on product development.
Joseph “JC” Budd is a current electrical engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh and cofounder and CMO at Diapanion, serving to perform research, testing, analyses and operations in company and product marketing, as well as enforce customer, user and business discovery methodology throughout the process of product ideation and development.
Aakash Sudhakar is a current bioengineering student at the University of Pittsburgh and cofounder and CFO at Diapanion, serving to oversee and conduct all critical financial and economical operations of the company as well as advise the executive team on major financial decisions on a projective basis.
